My department used to go out for birthday lunches once a month but it was getting to be really expensive so now we started going out once a month on fridays (leaving work a couple hours early) and having drinks together. This was our first outing. It turned out to be a LOT of fun and we were all laughing and talking about stuff besides work and just enjoying each others company.
Caleb was even able to join us becuase when he came to pick me up i wasn't quite ready to go.
It was a great time to get to know things that i never knew about my coworkers! like which ones were pranksters growing up, etc, and some of the stuff they did with firecrackers at school!!!! LOL
