Today Caleb and i went out to Highland Fellowship church with Virgil and Allison and spent the day with them.
Church was such a blessing, it was a great service, the worship team did a fantastic job (and apparently hadn't even practiced! :) ) There was a baptism service and a baby dedication, both of which were very encouraging to watch. It is so neat to see people get baptised! A young boy (high school age) got baptised and invited a lot of his friends from school. They filled up about 4 rows and when he went up they all went with him to show their support. It was so encouraging to see someone that age being bold about his beliefs and taking this step. The message was really good too, overall we both really enjoyed the service and the friendlyness of the people there. It is such a warm, welcoming place, very refreshing!
After church we hung out for a short time before Allison's "coming out" party for becoming a Stmpin' Up demonstrator. The party turned out really well and a lot of ladies came. Allison is off to a great start!! (congratulations again Allison!! you are going to do an awesome job!)
It was a great day. Caleb was able to spend some time with Virgil and Zeke (who is walking without any help now--it is so adorable!) and had a good time with them, and i was able to hang out with Allison and her mom and all of the other ladies who came out for the party, and of course make some cards! :)
For those who don't know Allison, she is just the sweetest person you could ever know. I don't think there has been a time i have talked to her that she hasn't said something encouraging or told me she was praying for me or something to brighten my day. She is a wonderful mom and a wonderful friend and such a blessing to me and everyone else around her. And her mom is as well. I have only met her a few times but Allison has told me that she and Allison's father pray for us. That is so touching. It is such a blessing to be around such Godly people. It is so easy to see that He is the center of their lives as the conversation always leads back to that. I am so blessed to know all of them, and thank the Lord for my friendship with Allison and her wonderful family every day. Virgil definately got himself a good wife. :)
