Moving

Last Wednesday (March 21) my parents came down from Canada with Mark and we worked to help my Aunt get my grandma moved into her new apartment. It is a little sad to think that she will not be in the condo anymore and to know that she is getting older and needs help with things now, I hate seeing how weak she is now. I was definitely relieved and a little less sad after I saw her new place though! It is an assisted living place but is totally beautiful! It had a nice big sitting area when you first walk in with a big fire place, and everything is decorated really well, it is really a pleasant place to be. (My mom wanted to move in now too!! He-he!) She has her own “apartment” there so she will still have privacy and her own furniture, but they do all her cleaning, cooking, and laundry; and check on her every couple hours (because she blacks out sometimes). She also has cords to pull if she needs someone to come because she has fallen or just because needs help with things like opening jars or moving things. It is really a great place. (I will post pictures of it once she gets all settled in and has the rest of her furniture)

Here are a couple pictures of us packing up the place:

When my grandpa was alive he used to make model planes. Although this doesn't look very big in a picture the wing span is about 6+ feet.

You can click here to see what her condo looked like. It is for sale now.
