Guitar project

So, the other day day I had one of my old Strat style guitars apart for repairs, and I mentioned to Kris that I thought it would be fun to eventually strip and refinish the guitar myself just as a fun little side project. She thought it sounded fun as well, and one thing led to another and the next thing we knew we were sanding and chipping away at the old paint job. Once the paint was off I noticed that the guitar was made from the wonderful tonewood of plywood!!! At least I don't have to worry about ruining it. Anyways, after we have it all cleaned up and sanded down we will be staining and refinishing it and leaving it as a natural wood color. I'll also be modding the hardware and pickups probably, so this could turn out interesting. Regardless of how it ends up looking, it will be unique, that's for sure.

On a slightly different note, I recently upgraded my amp. I have been playing guitar for about 4 years now that the best amp I have had has been a Roland Cube 15. A good amp, but not for playing with drums. So, I got myself a B-52 LG-100 half stack. A great sounding amp for being a cheap solid state amp. Needless to say, I have been having a bit of fun lately.
