camp, anniversaries, visits, and stuff

Wow, it has been a LONG time since we have updated anything on here!! This has certainly been a busy summer! I will attempt an update now…

Last week Caleb had the opportunity to go to Solid Rock, high school camp again as a counselor. He has a great group of guys in his cabin and had a really good time with them. Apparently they were the “class clowns” so it was a good laugh to hang out with them. On the first day of camp the high schoolers are given a list of cabins and leaders and they can choose which cabin they want to be in, well whoever wrote Caleb’s name wrote it very sloppily so the guys thought his name was Clyde and he was black and drove an old ghetto cady was that was parked there. LOL they went around the whole first day looking for “Clyde” who to their surprise turned out to be small and white and drives a Corolla. Haha!! So for the rest of the week he was Clyde. He was very exhausted when he got home though and slept about 17 hours Saturday night!

I did not go to camp this year, but I was not alone or bored either. My mom came up for 10 days so we spent the week doing fun girly things, such as shopping at Tiffany’s and Gucci, making cards, antiquing, and eating chick food. It was very fun and unfortunately went by WAY too fast.

Work is going by as normal, it was nice to have a break from it last week – it can get pretty tedious. J I guess that is just life as an adult though.

Tomorrow is our 3rd anniversary. We can hardly believe it has been 3 years already! I am taking Caleb downtown on Friday to Dinner and a show. We will be seeing Blue Man Group so he is pretty excited about that. He has wanted to see their show for a while so it should be fun. We decided not to sit in the “poncho” rows LOL. I didn’t really like the idea of “washable, edible” junk flying all over us. LOL.

Carrie’s due date got changed at her last ultrasound. So she is now due on August 18th. Although they told her that the first due date they give you is usually the right one so that was August 27th, so we will see. Although she hasn’t gained much weight with him (17lb!) everything is going well and he is a big 6lb already!! Less than a month to go, I can hardly believe it!! They will also be moving into a new apartment soon. They are trying to do as much work on the place as possible during August but if Allistair decides to come on the 18th that will be cut short.

Jon is getting ready to go back to school for his second year. The summer has just flown by and I can hardly believe it is only about 2 weeks before he is back here! Before we know it he will be graduating!

I have been doing some scrapbooking lately, I have about 10 years to catch up on LOL so I have been getting a kick out of some of the old pictures. My mom and I were laughing about how much Mark has changed over the years. Even pictures of him from just a few years ago, he is totally unrecognizable! He just totally changes ever couple of years and turns into a totally different person. If you saw his “baby” pictures you would never guess that they were him.

Well that is the quick catch up for us.
